Artificial turf in Lakeway
Austin Turf Co. doesn't install artificial turf in Lakeway (Travis County) yet. Lakeway counts artificial turf as impervious cover and caps it at 25% of a lot's landscape area. If you're nearby in Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock or Georgetown, our installed prices are $11.75 to $13.75 per sq ft. Leave your address and we'll text you if we start serving Lakeway.
Lakeway permit and impervious-cover rules
Lakeway Code sec. 24.02.403 treats artificial turf as impervious cover, limits it to 25% of total landscape area, bars it from utility and drainage easements, and requires it to meet the same appearance standards as natural grass. Sec. 24.02.401 requires a permit for new landscaping. Because most backyard turf projects exceed that cap, we don't install in Lakeway at launch.
Lakeway covers about 12.9 square miles in Travis County (U.S. Census).
