How HOA approval for turf works

Most north Austin HOAs require architectural approval before you install artificial turf. You submit a site plan, the turf spec sheet and photos on the HOA's form, and the committee answers, typically within 30 days. Austin Turf Co. prepares the packet within 24 hours, follows up, and if your HOA denies it, you owe $0.

What goes in the packet

A site plan from satellite with measured turf areas, the manufacturer spec sheet (pile height, color, backing, lead-free certification), edging and drainage details, current photos, and the HOA's own application form.

How long it takes

Committees often meet monthly. Many respond in 1 to 4 weeks. We follow up on day 10 and day 25, and book your install for the first open day after approval.

Common conditions

Front-yard restrictions, required color or pile height, borders between turf and beds, and keeping trees and beds irrigated. We design to the HOA's guidelines up front so the first submission is the one that gets approved.
