Crystal Falls: artificial turf rules
Crystal Falls does not require Architectural Control Committee approval for artificial turf. The HOA's Home Improvements page lists artificial turf among landscaping that needs no ACC approval, as long as it follows the Landscape Design Manual. Stone, masonry, metal or wood borders installed with it do need ACC approval, which can take up to 30 days.
The rule
Artificial turf is listed as landscaping that does not need ACC approval. Landscaping must still follow the Crystal Falls Landscape Design Manual. Hardscape such as stone, masonry, metal or wood borders does need ACC approval.
Approval process
If your project includes hardscape borders, the homeowner (not the contractor) submits the ACC application online or by email to the HOA operations address. We prepare the application and plan for you. Turf-only projects with standard steel or plastic edging go straight to scheduling.
Typical turnaround
The ACC has 30 days to respond to applications that need approval and sends a confirmation email within 3 business days of receipt.
Management changes from Goodwin & Company to RealManage on November 1, 2026, so the portal and contacts may change.
